I found a short blog post I wrote about a Meet-Up in 2013. It was about two French filmmakers. The two filmmakers were from Paris, France – Olivier Lambert and Thomas Salva. They need to raise funds for the film they were working on – “Chasing Bonnie & Clyde.” We partnered with the Alliance Francaise D’Austin on that evening at Cafe Express. Unfortunately, Cafe Express closed in 2018 during the COVID era but the good news is the film was completed and purchased by Prime Video.

About The Film

Chasing Bonnie and Clyde” is a documentary film that explores the infamous crime spree and romantic saga of the American outlaw couple Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. Directed by Olivier Lambert and Thomas Salva, the film explores the history and myth surrounding Bonnie and Clyde, shedding light on their criminal activities, the law enforcement efforts to capture them, and the public fascination with their exploits.

The documentary combines archival footage, interviews with historians and experts, and reenactments to provide a comprehensive and engaging look at the lives of Bonnie and Clyde. It also examines the cultural impact of their story, including how it has been portrayed in books, films, and popular culture.

“Chasing Bonnie and Clyde” offers viewers a deeper understanding of the complex personalities and motivations of these iconic criminals, as well as the social and economic context of the Great Depression, which played a role in their criminal activities. The film seeks to separate the reality of Bonnie and Clyde from the legends that have grown around them over the years.
